Apart from extensive skills of Engineering design, plant operation, Plant erection and fabrication including safety, environmental protection and implementation of administrative policies and teaching the next generation graduate Engineers about the related jobs, the experience includes technical & cultural management , administrative tasks, executive capabilities and involvement in university academia.

  • M. Tech Chemical technology with specialization in Bio Chemical Engineering  HBTI Kanpur, 1986 ( Stood 1st with 1st rank)

  • B. Tech Chemical technology with specialization in Bio Chemical Engineering) HBTI Kanpur, 1986  (Stood 1st with 3rd rank)

  • Certificate Course on safety conducted by different organizations Mumbai, 2004

  • B.Sc. (PCM) from University of Lucknow, 1979 (Stood 2nd)


Experience as Safety In charge


1.  Industrial safety and Hygiene 

  • Have more than 500,000 ( Fifty Lacs) Man hour work which has been carried out under his supervision at, his organization, Trombay, which includes from excavation to construction of concrete vaults of 1m thick slabs, erection of big tanks and 35 km long piping as well as stacks and many more jobs.

  • Have made two high rise stacks, ( one was broken three times and fourth time up to ground level by high rise excavator). 

  • There was no accident, even no reportable injury. 

  • Have done many Job Hazards Analysis related to construction and erections during this period.

  • Have done HAZOPs for Geotechnical Investigation & Root Cause Analysis for disable injury to workers. 

  • These reports were submitted to Safety Councils.

    

Presently, doing job hazard analysis for ‘Installation of Aluminum Ladder at high rise stack’.


2.    Safety analysis 

  • HAZOPs of radioactive operations.

 

Technical Presentations / Contribution

 

  • Presented papers on Safety at International seminar, 2006, Cochin, 1-3 November, 2006 on “Innovative methods in strengthening industrial safety at construction sites”

  • Presented paper “ Differential methods in safety” at various safety meet.

  • Contributed to a new concept for safety evaluation, 2006

  • Introduced “SAI” (Safety Attitude Index) and “AREC” (Anticipation Recognition Evaluation and Control) concept for safety analysis, 2008, 2009 

  • Arranged Awareness Programs about DAE for Indian Association on Radiation Protection in association with IIT, Kanpur, HBTI, Kanpur and six other institutes at Lucknow and Kanpur in 2008.

  • Convener for site level safety committee, Mumbai

  • Member for Inspection team to review Industrial safety at sites.

 

 

Major Accomplishments

 

  • Engineer In charge (Shift):

  • Worked for Upar Chem Ltd. Unnao, U.P. as Shift In charge Engineer for their Heavy chemical dye Intermediate Plant at Unnao, U.P. from 1983 to 1985.

  • Took responsibilities as “Shift In charge Engineer” from January 1997 to 1995 for smooth operation of plant.

  • Team member for projects and plants from 1991 to 1995.

 

Designing & Plant Erection:

 

 

  • Designed & Erected Make up area for plants, chemical transfer lines from Plant to UTSF, Off gas piping, Primary and Secondary process cooling water system. In cell piping and gratings with other ancillaries and utilities  1996 to 2002

  • Erected hazardous Effluent transfer line from one place to other via beanth the sea 2002 to 2004

  • Working as project In charge  for Project Safety and Labor welfare from 2004. 

  • Carried out different modification ergonomically in different Project at BARC, Mumbai

 

Consulting Projects Completed

 

 

  • Worked as Consultant for Waste Water Treatment group of M/S Apex Consultants, Kanpur from 1984 to 1985. 

  • Worked for K.M. Suagr mill Faizabad, UP for their upcoming Waste Treatment Plant in 1985. The job was carried out in consultation with IIT, Kanpur.

  • Modified ADU filtration system for plants, 1990.

 

Technical Miscellaneous
    

  • Conducted a dozen of technical interviews on Door Darshan, Mumbai, topics were related to Environmental Pollution.

  • Delivered more than 100 lectures on Environmental topic at different Engineering colleges, clubs.

  • Dedicated speaker for Environmental Protection.

  • Published more than 250 popular articles on science in different news papers & magazines in Hindi. 

  • Central stories in “Hindi Blitz” on “Nitrogen Pollution”, “Power Shortage in India”, “ Nuclear Programs in India”, “ Wastage of Water in India” “Earth Quake” “ Death trap Drugs” etc.
